#BSOD INSTALLING INTEL POWER GADGET MANUAL#
I always check the manual with new builds! I made that mistake a few years back when a different manufacturer had it in different slots lol. I have both sticks installed per the manual. Which one isn’t handling this properly and why? If anyone knows, please give me some advice! I just want to make sure if I should be proactive and exchange parts before return periods end! So is my RAM at fault? The Motherboard? The CPU? A mix of all 3.

But disabling XMP seems to have done the trick! Now my questions is, how the hell does this get fixed? Will there be some type of solution for XMP? I paid for that ram that currently goes brrrr ya know? I want the full speed.

Installed windows 11 update that rolled through. Got home and immediately tried to fiddle around. Not a single BSoD when launching games nothing. Not a single crash, not a single chrome error.

What should I do? Just work with Windows 10 in the meantime? Exchange parts? I’ll take any advice or suggestions.Įdit: UPDATE: So as someone suggested I disabled XMP. All updates from Windows, MB Bios, Drivers, etc. About to chuck this all out and throw my previous CPU & MB in, reinstall windows 10 and call it a DAY. Please kind people of the Intel subreddit, help me out here. I like to say I'm knowledgeable but after multiple reinstalls, etc to try and fix my issues, nothing seems to do the trick. I have tried fully cleaning the install drive, even tried installing on a slower 970 Pro to see if maybe the new Gen 4 (WD Black SN850) might've been causing issues since it's a new drive for me. However I lose the purpose of Alder Lake with win 10 or am I mistaken? So we go back to 11 for now. I have reinstalled Windows 11 4 times now with a Windows 10 install working fine in between. My friend an I both have the same MB, CPU, DDR5 RAM and built our builds on the same day! This has been beyond infuriating! Please someone help me understand what is going on! NZXT causes BSoD, Xbox App caused random restart no BSoD. STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION - Chrome Crashing error (have had to copy and past every few lines of this post because it keeps crashing as I try to type)Īlso having the issue if a program is minimized but still on the taskbar, if I go to maximize it or bring it to the front, it has caused crashing with Memory Management being the issue/BSoD (NZXT CAM and Xbox App have both done this. All the CRITICAL errors are related to Kernal Power (I believe those are CPU based. Event viewer is yelling at me with so many ERRORS or CRITICAL it's not even funny. I've honestly never experienced so many issues with Windows in my life. I say this because him and I both purchased the same MB, RAM + CPU. Went and purchased these new parts from Micro Center on launch for Alder Lake. Was on Windows 10 then Windows 11 on my previous MB + CPU before I upgraded to Alder Lake. No issues prior to installing a the new z690 MOBO, i9-12900k CPU, DDR5 RAM, Gen 4 SSD, PSU on 11/04/21. I’m posting in the intel subreddit because since it’s 12th gen, maybe someone else has stumbled upon my same issues? Any info helps. Let me preface by saying I like to think I know what I’m doing but that definitely appears not to be the case with me for this build. Not specifically BSoD or no posting issues (I feel like that video will come though so the hope is there!) Here’s to hoping this gets resolved sooner rather than later. Maybe it will be addressed sooner rather than later! This video gave me hope. Still doing some digging on a Windows fix!Įdit: Gamers Nexus is finally giving Alder Lake issues the platform it needs.

Check for bios updates!Įdit 2: Deleted link to Tom’s Hardware as that was Linux related. Seems system stability has LARGELY been improved. Just depends honestly.Įdit/Update #3: Bios updates are available for Asus Boards now.

Myself and many others have manually adjusted the speed for the RAM ourselves and disabled XMP again. Update #4: Crashing again but only every few days and it’s only ever chrome with the memory error.
